4m2 extension, removal of structural walls/steel frame insertion, Tiny Tiny Victorian terrace house remodelling
Our plans for alterations and extensions to a property in the Brecon Beacons National Park deliver the WOW! factor.
Stephen Waldron Architects was commissioned to design, obtain detailed-planning consent, and provide a full set of construction information for the conversion of a small stable block into two holiday cottages.
Few sane people would have taken on this semi-derelict set of three small barns with trees growing out of the walls! This ongoing project continues to thrill!
“The garage conversion that Stephen undertook for us has been a complete success and enabled us to make use of what was a dead storage space. Stephen quickly understood our needs and provided designs ideas for us to evaluate. Whenever we needed input on the design and build he was quick to respond and this meant we could rely on him to keep the project on time and budget.
We are delighted with the result and everyone comments on what a great space it is. We generally used it as a home office and studio but it has also been used for parties. Stephen helped us to solve a number of problems and we still have a good storage area because an extension was created without spoiling the aesthetic of what is an attractive tile hung building.
The designs had been well thought through and we didn’t encounter any major problems in the planning process. The garage conversion has added significantly to the quality and value of our home. We would be happy to recommend Stephen Waldron Architects.”
During an initial consultation, I raised the question of whether Newham planners would allow me to divide my house into two flats. Stephen Waldron called and emailed the planners before he was even appointed and I really appreciate that because 8 out of 10 architects I had called yesterday said, this would be waste of time and money.
Like many architects, Stephen works alongside his clients, but it’s his inspirational response to exploring a design from the very outset that creates momentum to many challenging projects.
He fully interpreted our Brief, but also evolved his designs as different aspects of the project evolved
He was exactly on time and understood the potential administrative issues with planning etc and had allowed a realistic buffer to accommodate these
Stephen has always been very competitive, but brings the full weight of his experience and advice
He did more than add value, he inspired some of the foundational directions of the design, after hearing what we wanted.
I am very glad everything with the project has gone swimmingly. Mr Waldron did plan meticulously and as such I am not too surprised that there are no resulting issues due to the works. (commenting on the Party Wall aspects of a barn repairs/conversion project in the Brecon Beacons).
Promptness of response : Prompt polite response.
Quality of service : Excellent service, knowledgable with good professional contacts.
Value for money : Well priced.
Professionalism : Both professional and experienced.
We recently worked with Stephen Waldron when the opportunity arose to develop an empty piece of land on which we wanted to build properties for on-sale. Thank you again for all your help and professionalism in understanding the needs of the project.
