The addition of attic room space for to a bungalow in Treorchy enables a brother and sister to live in their forever home – each with their own space.
Few sane people would have taken on this semi-derelict set of three small barns with trees growing out of the walls! This ongoing project continues to thrill!
Stephen Waldron Architects was commissioned to design, obtain detailed-planning consent, and provide a full set of construction information for the conversion of a small stable block into two holiday cottages.
Our plans for alterations and extensions to a property in the Brecon Beacons National Park deliver the WOW! factor.
From the offset, Stephen’s professionalism; knowledge; communication skills and detailed follow through on all aspects of the design and presentation to the Planning department were exemplary …… His foresight and recommendations for all aspects of the build to incorporate all of our requirements and ideas was a major reason we now have a finished build we are very happy with.
Stephen’s hard work and perseverance to push and negotiate through many stumbling blocks experienced from the authorities along the way are a major reason we have the property completed to the high standard we have.
The scheme 3Ds, they are beautiful. I never believed the house could be so nice as I have been unable to visualise it in my head but you have done a great job. …. we really appreciate what you have done. I can’t stop looking at them and can’t wait to get it started.
Thanks for all of your and Rod’s hard work. It has been much appreciated.
We weren’t sure what to expect when we asked Stephen Waldron to design an extension for our small Edwardian terraced house. After an initial meeting he quickly interpreted all our ideas and gave us a beautiful open plan living space which we now live in. Thanks Stephen, it’s perfect.
During an initial consultation, I raised the question of whether Newham planners would allow me to divide my house into two flats. Stephen Waldron called and emailed the planners before he was even appointed and I really appreciate that because 8 out of 10 architects I had called yesterday said, this would be waste of time and money.
Stephen Waldron approached our rather small roof extension project with enthusiasm and care. He treated our house and our opinions respectfully, always listening to our many questions and answering or helping us answer them.
Not only were we happy with the design process but we were also grateful for Stephen’s extensive knowledge of materials, new technologies and his great experience of local planning procedures and building regulations.
I especially appreciated his allowance for ‘good light’, his meticulous efforts to fit our staircase in and his final bill – which came in under budget. I can’t complain about that!
We now enjoy our views daily.”
You are always very efficient, communicate very clearly and think outside the box with creative alternatives to issues, with nothing ever being too much trouble.
It is very refreshing to work with someone that thinks with a similar mind set, has great ethics and morals, and thinks how problems can be solved.
You work is always to a high standard and we truly appreciate the level of customer care and the professionalism with which everything is dealt with. We would have no hesistation in recommending you to others with complete confidence that you will do the best by everyone involved.
I look forward to building a long-term working relationship with SWA and feel that you will be a key part of our property career as we move forward.
