Glass roofed barn becomes a first for the Brecon Beacons National Park.
4m2 extension, removal of structural walls/steel frame insertion, Tiny Tiny Victorian terrace house remodelling
Few sane people would have taken on this semi-derelict set of three small barns with trees growing out of the walls! This ongoing project continues to thrill!
Adding a 4th floor with a 5th bedroom to a townhouse.
This project required the design, planning consent and construction information for a 3-storey, 4 bedroom home on a very constrained plot.
Do you remember we spoke and you asked me if I believe in miracles, indeed I do believe in them. Meeting a man of your calibre ie a very knowledgeable and decent man is no less than a miracle!
During an initial consultation, I raised the question of whether Newham planners would allow me to divide my house into two flats. Stephen Waldron called and emailed the planners before he was even appointed and I really appreciate that because 8 out of 10 architects I had called yesterday said, this would be waste of time and money.
Our clients have given nothing but glowing reports about Stephen and the manner in which he talks them through the project. He has such an open minded way of coming up with ideas that greatly improve the quality of the project.
I employed Stephen Waldron Architects Ltd two years ago with the aim of attaining planning permission on a number of plots in the Pontardawe area.
It has been a pleasure working with Stephen in this time and I found him exceptionally knowledgeable and as a result, very easy to work with.
The project was potentially problematic due to its location; however Stephen approached it logically, using great design to overcome any reservations the local authority had.
Stephen was prompt in returning my calls and emails and kept me notified of every step of the process. The project required excellent communication skills and a degree of flexibility in dealing with the local authority planning office, which Stephen exhibited on a number of occasions, helping the applications go through as trouble-free as possible.
Stephen is a very likeable person which I’m sure counts in his clients’ favour when dealing with local authorities, and I found his approach to be very professional, with a personal touch.
I would definitely approach Stephen in relation to any future projects, and I would strongly recommend him to others.
We weren’t sure what to expect when we asked Stephen Waldron to design an extension for our small Edwardian terraced house. After an initial meeting he quickly interpreted all our ideas and gave us a beautiful open plan living space which we now live in. Thanks Stephen, it’s perfect.
You are always very efficient, communicate very clearly and think outside the box with creative alternatives to issues, with nothing ever being too much trouble.
It is very refreshing to work with someone that thinks with a similar mind set, has great ethics and morals, and thinks how problems can be solved.
You work is always to a high standard and we truly appreciate the level of customer care and the professionalism with which everything is dealt with. We would have no hesistation in recommending you to others with complete confidence that you will do the best by everyone involved.
I look forward to building a long-term working relationship with SWA and feel that you will be a key part of our property career as we move forward.
